Biden Claims There Are More Important Things Than Visiting Arizona Border

President Joe Biden will be visiting Arizona Tuesday to visit a chip manufacturing facility. However, he apparently believes he is too rich to see the southern border while in the area.

When asked by Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy if he would go down to the border, Biden brushed him off and said it’s not a priority.

“Because there are more important things going on,” Biden said. “They’re going to invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise.”

It’s true, Taiwan Semiconductor is making such a large investment in Phoenix north. This win is considered to be a win that crosses party lines. It’s not surprising that Biden would love to make a convenient victory lap after the midterm elections.

Biden and his staff should have made the time to visit Yuma or Cochise County, for example, to address the humanitarian crisis. According to Customs and Border Protection data in 2022, there were more than two million migrant encounters. There are also large physical gaps at the border due to Biden’s decision to stop the building of the wall. These issues are only the beginning. There is poor communication between people who want to enter the United States to claim asylum and there is a significant amount of drug trafficking into America’s interior.

Jobe Dickinson (President of the Border Security Alliance) called out the president on the connection between the fentanyl crisis and border security.

“AZ overdose deaths rose by 41% between 2022 and 2022, according to data published monthly. Illegal fentanyl is the leading cause. What is the point of President Biden saying while in AZ that he will not visit the border since “there are more important matters going on”, Dickinson tweeted?

Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, stated, “Biden is more concerned about politics than his children, friends, and neighbors.”

Biden would be most likely to have the assistance of local county sheriffs or border agents to explain the problems in southern Arizona. These issues must be addressed at the federal level. Although Arizona and Texas have done their best to secure the border, it is the Executive Branch that has the most power to make an impact.

Biden wants to avoid the awkwardness of watching his White House fail, which was caused early in the administration by self-righteousness. The Trump-era border policies were quickly discarded by the White House, creating a dangerous situation that quickly became a disaster.

His latest comments are an insult to the Southwest, as border communities have been neglected for many years.
