Jeopardy’s Brightest Didn’t Know Who Ketanji Jackson Is, and CNN Can’t Even

“She is the first black woman to sit on the Supreme Court, and she was also the first federal public defender.
Jeopardy! I am sure that all our readers, especially VIP subscribers, knew the right answer! question. After the clue had been read, none of three contestants (Thomas “Amy” Schneider, Tyler Rhode, or Maureen O’Neil), buzzed in to answer.

They didn’t know who Ketanji Jackson was.

Jackson was the third African American to be confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court in April. He also became the first person to not know what a “woman”.

It happened while we waited for Arizona, Nevada and Georgia to count our votes. However, the moment became viral after CNN aired it. CNN’s anchors were stunned that none of the contestants knew what the answer was.

Kaitlan Collins, co-host, insists that “I don’t think that’s surprising,” she said.

Don Lemon was correct to point out that “these are smart people.”

Collins said, “That’s an excellent point.”

Poppy Harlow interjected, “She was just confirmed. It’s been in media!”

Lemon stated, “If you’re outside, Kaitlin’s correct, if your standing outside of a shopping mall or something, people may not realize, when they do their man on the street thing. Yes.” “But when your smart enough to become a Jeopardy …” contestant, it’s a great feeling.

These aren’t regular guests on Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions is the name of the show’s most successful contestants. Thomas “Amy”, Schneider was actually one of the contestants that didn’t know Ketanji Brown Jack. He is one of the most successful Jeopardy! He holds the record for the longest win streak in show history.

Don Lemon is wrong, for a moment. It is not possible to explain why these contestants didn’t know Justice Jackson.

It brought back memories of SNL Celebrity Jeopardy! skits.
