Let’s have a look at the numbers. According to the article, Twitter has a manpower budget of $1.5 billion. This is $200,000 per employee. This is mind-blowing. If it’s salary plus benefits, it is absurd. The Twitter board should be taken to the yacht of a sanctioned Russian oligarch.

The concern of the left is not data security. They fear losing control over Twitter’s information. It’s cute to call it “harmful material.” But banning Hunter Biden’s New York Post reporting, allowing Iran’s main mullah to continue active, and crushing scientific data on COVID that conflicts with the “zero COVID” approach our government tried to impose, is not fighting “harmful contents.” Instead, Twitter employees were acting as the Sturmabteilung for the anti-freedom, liberal elite.
Do not believe anyone who claims Twitter’s staff cares about your online safety. If they don’t like your politics, they can doxx you, make death threats to you, stalk you, or threaten you with sexual assault if you are a conservative woman. Any perceived violation of your political views will be dealt with by the staff.
Musk is on the right path. Twitter isn’t the only company that doesn’t understand the basic principles of management and economics. Twitter’s reputational problems are largely due to its staffers, who often have little else to do but congregate on Slack to brainstorm ways to control the company’s operations in order to further their political ends.
I don’t know whether Musk can make Twitter financially profitable. However, I’m willing to pay for a flight to California to be outside Twitter when the Antifa thugs are being escorted out of the building by security.
